Paws Unlimited mission statement
To provide food, shelter, healthcare and love for any animal in need until
they can be placed in a loving home of their own.
Who we are
Paws Unlimited began with one person -- but many people have lent their
time and hard work to help animals in need. In the future, we will have
more information on this page about those individuals.
 Letter
from the founder:
Wow, where do I begin?
For as long as I can remember, animals have been a major part of my life.
I have spent countless hours caring for strays, rescuing animals, donating
to shelters and finding homes for abandoned and neglected pets. There
was never a question as to where this work would lead. For me, it is physically
painful to see animals homeless, starving and sick.
Establishing The Paws Unlimited Foundation was my life's goal. And thanks
to so many people who have helped in my cause, here we are.
Paws Unlimited is dedicated to the service of animals and animal rights
and believes our goal to provide food, love, safety and medical care to
abandoned or abused animals deeply touches the hearts of local citizens.
We are offering a service that will not only benefit the community, but
will also help many animals who would not otherwise have a fighting chance.
Using 2000 census figures, Paws Unlimited will serve over 1,387,961 people
in Rockland, Ulster, Westchester and Orange Counties.
