  How you can help

Your help is what makes our work possible. From donation, to fostering, to adoption -- your participation is the key to caring for animals in need.

Micky

Donating is simple, and there are many ways you can help. Money is the most useful donation, because it can be utilized for whatever need arises at a given time -- be it for veterinary care, food, transportation, or intervention. You may make a tax-deductible donation using either of the methods below.

1. Mail a check or money order to:

Paws Unlimited Foundation
P.O. Box D-500
Pomona, NY 10970

Paws Unlimited Foundation
P.O. Box 3506
Kingston, NY 12402

(You may mail the check to either address.)

2. Donate online using Paypal:

Our tax returns are available upon request.

Goods are also a very helpful donation. Everything from food to unused leashes, blankets, and toys can be mailed to the above location. They will be put to good use, we can assure you.

Thank You! Not that we would ever forget to say thanks, but really, THANK YOU! Your donations keep us going and help us save unsheltered, abused, and abandoned animals in need.

Adopt

Finding loving homes for animals is what this is all about. Adoptable pets will soon be listed on our home page.

Foster

Fosters provide temporary shelter and care for a rescued animal. Though we are working to build our shelter to help house these abandoned and needy animals, fosters will always be crucial to our success.

The responsibilities of a foster include:

1. Provide temporary shelter and care for a rescued animal (dog, puppy, cat, kitten, etc.).

2. House the animal in your home. Animals fare better when in a home environment, and their true personalities will emerge.

3. The time frame you keep your foster animal can range from a few days to a few months. Occasionally the period can continue on for a year or more.

4. Transport the foster to vet appointments when necessary.

5. Prepare a short profile of your foster animal to help the rescue organization match them up with the ideal permanent home.

6. Some foster parents bring their foster animal to adoption events and talk to potential adopters about their foster animal.

7. Foster families are usually asked to provide food and toys for their foster animal.

8. It is usually asked that you provide a leash for transporting dogs, and a carrier for cats.

9. Overall, foster ‘parents’ are asked to be responsible guardians.
